We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Specialist to join our team! If you're the type of person that enjoys reconstructing virtual room scans, improving customer outputs, and ensuring data quality, you’ll thrive in this role.

As a remote QA Specialist, you’ll edit and review room scans, identify edits, and work closely with teammates to maintain high product accuracy and efficiency, and ensure we deliver accurate, data-rich deliverables to customers around the world. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail and a willingness to perform repetitive testing tasks with consistency and focus each and every day.

Please note, candidates must be US-based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify floor plans generated from virtual scans (e.g., 3D camera data, LiDAR) for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Cross-check spatial data against reference materials such as original scan files, site notes, or photographic documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies in dimensions, room labeling, layout structure, wall placements, window/door positioning, and other architectural features.
  • Understand complex rules and standards to be able to quickly judge and give feedback to reviewers on their floor plans.
  • Follow structured guidelines and make decisions within ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with customer success and support teams to communicate errors, suggest corrections, and ensure revisions are implemented accurately.
  • Maintain QA tracking documentation, logging issues, metrics, trends, and feedback for process improvement.
  • Develop and update QA checklists and standard operating procedures to reflect evolving accuracy standards and scanning technologies.
  • Perform spot checks and random audits of completed floor plans to ensure ongoing quality control.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to provide feedback on tools and workflows used in scan processing and floor plan generation.
  • Train new team members or contractors on QA best practices and quality expectations.
  • Report on quality metrics, including error rates, turnaround times, and areas for improvement, to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in a QA specialist role.
  • Ability to provide clear feedback of a high quality.
  • Experienced and comfortable conducting repetitive tasks on a daily basis.
  • Familiarity with JIRA is preferred. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple scans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with and creating effective escalation procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What to Expect in the First 60 Days

  • Onboarding & Training: Get introduced to the team, company culture, QA processes and systems, and in-house products. 
  • Shadow & Learn: Observe experienced team members, review common QA processes, and begin handling simple scans with guidance. 
  • Hands-On QA Testing: Start taking ownership of scans to test, evaluate, and provide feedback on.
  • Increased Independence: Manage a queue of scans, improve turnaround times, and collaborate with the team to refine processes.

Salary: $60,000
