Position Summary
As a Senior Settlements Analyst, you will be the subject matter expert on CAISO and SPP Settlements within our Bid to Bill product line. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our CAISO and SPP settlement system meets the needs of our customers by interpreting and implementing CAISO and SPP market rules/changes, supporting product development, and providing advanced customer support. The ideal candidate must have expertise in CAISO and/or SPP charge codes, market rules, and settlements.
This position requires close collaboration with Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services to translate regulatory and market changes into product enhancements, while also providing internal expertise for settlement-related inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities
- CAISO and SPP Market Expertise
- Serve as a CAISO and SPP Trading & Settlements expert within the organization, ensuring charge code formulas and underlying market rules/changes are implemented within the PowerCore CAISO and SPP settlement system.
- Monitor and analyze changes to CAISO and SPP Business Practice Manuals (BPMs) and API Specifications, advising on required product changes.
- Participate in CAISO and SPP market calls, including Release User Group meetings, Technical User Group meetings, Settlement User Group and Market Simulation meetings, to identify impacts and coordinate necessary product updates.
- Product & Engineering Collaboration
- Advise Product Management and Engineering on implementing CAISO and SPP market changes from Front to Back office in the PowerCore system.
- Be an SME on market changes and how they are implemented in PowerCore.
- Provide internal consulting on how charge codes or other ISO calculations should be performed to support Customer Support, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Engineering.
- Customer Support
- Provide Tier 2 customer support by troubleshooting tickets related to CAISO and SPP settlements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on customer calls, helping to address complex technical questions regarding CAISO and SPP Settlements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience performing CAISO settlement statement validations and disputes.
- Settlement experience in CAISO is required.
- Experience using SQL to analyze data.
- Travel requirement: 0% to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance or accounting experience preferred.
- MISO, ERCOT, ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, and SPP experience is desired.
