Position Summary
Join our Class of 2026 Yes Energy Interns and enjoy the opportunity to work on an exciting, high-impact project focused on delivering customer-facing AI capabilities and the associated product management process. This role will focus on making Yes Energy’s extensive market data products even easier to explore, understand, and use. You will help build the foundation that enables customers to apply AI and natural-language tools directly to our data, accelerating insight generation for both technical and non-technical users. This hands-on role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle, including product planning, technical implementation, go-to-market considerations, and operational ownership as you help shape how this capability is delivered as a new product feature.

- $19.00/hr - 1st year Intern
- $20.00/hr - 2nd year Intern
- $21.00/hr - 3rd year Intern
- $22.00/hr - 4th year Intern
- Reports to: Director, Data Delivery
The intern will learn and be exposed to
- Hands-on experience in AI product strategy and execution
- Exposure to real-world AI development and product decision-making
- Mentorship from experienced product managers, engineers, and data scientists
- Opportunities to own meaningful projects and present outcomes
Project Work
Your official project will be tailored to your background and development goals, but will center on semantic views and AI enablement for large, complex datasets. Your work could include:
- Defining success metrics (e.g., accuracy, adoption, performance) for AI features.
- Architecting a semantic layer to enable the application of AI and natural-language tools directly to our data.
- Executing feature testing, tracking success metrics, and iterating on the solution.
- Developing documentation and plans for ongoing operational ownership (O&M) and go-to-market considerations for the new capability.
- Presenting project findings and recommendations to product and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Product Managers in defining and documenting requirements.
- Design, build, and rigorously test semantic views and the underlying semantic layer.
- Help prioritize features and maintain project backlog and roadmap.
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, and design teams to support product development and delivery.
- Assist with feature testing, validation, and launch support.
- Develop documentation for ongoing operational ownership (O&M) and prepare go-to-market plans and internal communications.
Requirements

- Strong understanding of Google Suite for Business or MS Office, specifically spreadsheet fundamentals
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Energy, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as supervised learning, NLP, and/or generative AI
- Experience with Snowflake, relational databases, and/or semantic modeling concepts
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with North American energy market data or power trading concepts
