Position Summary
Join our Class of 2026 Yes Energy Interns and enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects to shape your career in Learning & Development. The intern position will perform basic Learning and development functions using the Learning Management System to drive stronger engagement and bring energy industry training current. Assist in evaluating current internal energy industry certification content, editing and revising courses to incorporate the most up-to-date industry news. Position Details
- Internship Program Period: 10 Week Program (6/1/2026 - 8/7/2026)
- Full-Time; temporary w/ no benefits
- Hybrid
- Location: Yes Energy Boulder, CO office
- Hourly Rate Range:
- $19.00/hr - 1st year Intern
- $20.00/hr - 2nd year Intern
- $21.00/hr - 3rd year Intern
- $22.00/hr - 4th year Intern
- Reports to: Senior Learning and Development Specialist
The intern will learn and be exposed to
- Hands-on experience working with an internal Learning Management System (LMS).
- Acquire a strong understanding of content engagement strategies.
- Educational best practices in developing learning and training opportunities for employees to grow their careers
- Participation in Learning and Development, People Operations, and other team meetings.
- Opportunity to interact with employees across the organization.
Project Work
- Review and update internal certification courses to reflect the most current industry knowledge and standards.
- Identify and incorporate industry insights from sources such as FERC standards and RTO Insider to enrich the LMS learning experience.
- Update internal competency-specific content by partnering with subject matter experts.
- Assist with daily L&D Operations, including fielding content requests for the LMS.
- Present your project to leaders within the company at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn LMS, and Performance Management databases.
- Basic understanding of the Google Suite, specifically Google Docs and Google Sheets.
- Basic understanding of content development planning.
- Organizational and research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and explore new things.
- Pursuing a Business, Communications, Economics, Education, Energy, Environmental Science, or Learning and Development degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to commute to the Boston or Boulder Office location
Key Responsibilities
- Auditing all courses on the Learning Management system, specifically in one focus area that aligns with your degree (Communications, Economics, Education, Energy, Environmental Science, etc.).
- Update content in those areas to incorporate the most up-to-date industry news.
- Meet with subject matter experts across the company to enhance content development strategy and completion.
