Position Summary
The People Business Partner (PBP) aligns business strategy with people programs to drive organizational effectiveness and business performance. Serving as a strategic People Partner to designated executive leaders, this role presents a unique opportunity to build and expand global HR experience by supporting employees across our US East Coast footprint and international hubs in London and Bucharest. Combining strong foundational business acumen with a drive to learn cross-cultural HR, the PBP delivers high-touch leadership coaching, manager enablement, site culture building, and hands-on support through global workforce initiatives across a multi-time-zone environment.

- Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 (Targeted base pay; final offer varies based on geographic location, experience, and skills)

Primary Responsibilities
- Executive Advisory & Business Partnership: Serve as the strategic People Partner to designated business leaders, translating departmental roadmaps into scalable workforce and talent development strategies.
- Multi-Hub Culture & Engagement: Drive local site culture, engagement events, and community-building initiatives in Richmond, Boston, London, and Bucharest, leveraging employee feedback metrics to continuously enhance retention.
- Global HR Development & Advisory: Actively build expertise in European employment practices (UK and Romania); advise on local compliance, employee relations, and global people initiatives as international footprint structures evolve.
- Manager Enablement & Coaching: Coach managers on organizational effectiveness, conflict resolution, team health, and talent development.
- Talent Development & Lifecycle Programs: Partner with leaders to drive career pathing and staff growth, while facilitating annual performance review cycles, promotion calibrated reviews, and succession modeling (recruiting is managed by a dedicated Talent Acquisition team).
- Employee Relations & Diagnostics: Conduct objective workplace investigations and resolve complex ER issues with high discretion, diplomacy, and cultural awareness.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Talent Acquisition on seamless candidate-to-employee onboarding transitions and with Total Rewards on localized compensation/benefits alignment.
- Travel: Travel approximately 15% of the time, with periodic trips to our HQ office in Boulder, CO, as well as office sites in Boston, London, and Bucharest.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years of progressive HRBP/People Partner experience supporting fast-paced, high-growth technology environments. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience required.
- Proven Business Partnering: Demonstrated track record of building trusted relationships with senior leaders, driving talent management, and managing complex domestic employee relations.
- Global Curiosity & Aptitude: Strong enthusiasm and eagerness to learn international HR practices, European labor laws (UK and CEE regions like Romania), and cross-cultural business dynamics.
- Systems & Technical Literacy: Fluency with standard modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack) and fast adaptability to modern HR platforms (e.g., UKG).

- Core HR & Continuous Learning: Deep understanding of core HR functions (policies, employee relations, total rewards) paired with a growth mindset to quickly master international compliance and labor standards.
- Time Zone Agility: Ability to flex working hours during morning periods to overlap effectively with UK (GMT) and Romania (EET) working hours.
- Community Builder: Strong interpersonal charisma to connect, engage, and unify hybrid and distributed office cultures.
- Diplomacy & Sound Judgment: High emotional intelligence to handle sensitive employee relations matters with empathy, speed, and fairness.
