The Product Marketing team is the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics that we need to drive success in sales and marketing and accelerate product revenue growth. As the leader of this team, you will be the ultimate product evangelist and domain expert for the Yext platform and solutions. You know our competitors like the back of your hand and how to effectively win against them. You know our customers and buying personas and how they make their buying decisions.  You back-up organizational plans and strategies with data and market evidence and use that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers our sellers and partners. You collaborate with marketing, partners, and other stakeholders to develop innovative programs that drive adoption of the Yext platform. 

This role requires strategic thinking, an obsession with solving customer problems, a deep understanding of Yext products, and storytelling acumen. Strong executive presence, team leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills to influence teams across a matrixes organization are a must.

What You'll Do

  • Product Marketing Strategy - develop the overall strategy for the product marketing function in order to increase pipeline, win percentages, ARR growth, and market awareness across the entire platform
  • Market intelligence - be the expert on our customers and influencers, how they buy, and their key buying criteria
  • Competitive intelligence - understand the competitive landscape, be the expert on our competition, how they are positioned, and how we win. Enable the sales team to effectively compete against our key competition through training, battlecards, etc.
  • Collaborate with product management and communications/brand to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the Yext platform. Participate in external customer meetings, speaking engagements, and written assets to deliver thought leadership.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support Yext portfolio of products and solutions on an ongoing basis and deliver improvement recommendations back to the functional owners and leadership
  • Develop a marketing plan for our products in conjunction with product management and marketing peers, including key activities and budgets to acquire new customers and support the retention of existing customers.
  • Work with Demand Generation to drive changes as needed to our sales and marketing processes based on your continued learnings.
  • Lead a team that creates compelling content including sales and event presentations, web pages, eBooks, whitepapers, videos, and other assets as needed to effectively engage customers
  • Continually look for ways to test and optimize the content and format of our product messaging, to enable our sales teams to present the right message and materials to the right buyers at the right time.
  • Plan seasonal and cross platform releases, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Understand and support our sales channels. Work with enablement to develop plans to train sales/BDRs on the problems we solve for customers, develop internal tools and collateral, and develop a plan to teach Sales how to use it.
  • Develop relationships with key analysts and influencers and actively drive inclusion, coverage, and favorable ratings for the Yext platform

What You Have

  • Leadership skills - ability to speak with confidence about the Yext platform and the entire industry to high level audiences, provide guidance and clear direction to team members and key stakeholders, establish trust and credibility with stakeholders and customers
  • Domain expertise - deep knowledge of the DXP market, the Yext platform, target customers, personas, customer buying journeys
  • Strategic ability - ability to drive high level planning for the Product Marketing function with the goal of driving higher product adoption, product sales, and market awareness
  • 15+ years experience in product marketing in the B2B SaaS space.
  • 10+ years leading the Product Marketing function.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Sharp writing and presentation skills with a knack for distilling complex ideas into compelling copy.
  • Proven understanding of B2B SaaS sales process and experience working at the intersection of product and marketing.
  • Ability to craft both value-based and feature-focused messaging for multiple audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise independent and sound judgment.
  • Track record of creating presentations, web pages, brochures, and other materials tailored to resonate with multiple buyers.
  • Ability to manage expectations, opinions, and feedback from multiple stakeholders and on multiple projects at all times.

Demonstrated talent and appreciation for both qualitative and quantitative research and creating recommendations, strategies, and outputs based on that research.

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.


Annual Base Pay Range

$209,700 - $349,000 USD
