
Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance

The Strategic Finance team's mission is to enable Yext's efficient growth in a rapidly changing technology landscape. We operate across the full spectrum of financial strategy, from long-range planning, to performance analysis, supporting executive decision-making on capital allocation, and investor relations. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for R&D FP&A functions in addition to long term corporate strategic projects.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the finance business partner and P&L owner for the R&D organization, working closely with R&D leadership to enhance operational accountability, and drive rigor across a significant portion of the company’s expenses
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process for R&D, including monthly close, rolling forecasts, annual planning, and variance analysis
- Develop and manage financial models to support Yext’s strategic investments and key initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support and financial rigor around key strategic and operational decisions
- Drive alignment on KPIs and metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, growth initiatives, business performance
- Understand and analyze the levers that drive Yext’s long-term financial trajectory
- Assist with capital planning efforts, corporate finance, and investor relations
- Prepare presentations and key reporting to the Board of Directors and Executive Team
What You Have
- Bachelor's Degree or similar college level education in Finance, Business, Economics or another quantitative field
- 4-6 years of experience in finance at a tech/tech-adjacent company, investment banking, consulting or a related field
- Power user of Excel/G Sheets. Experience using financial planning applications like Anaplan is a plus. Experience with business intelligence such as Tableau is a plus.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization
- Proactive, self-motivated professional with an exceptional analytical skillset and a track record successfully building complex financial models from the ground up. Familiarity working with and articulating financial and accounting concepts
- Experience driving corporate or department level strategic analysis and initiatives is highly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct, clear manner

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
Annual Base Pay Range
$88,650 - $140,000 USD
