This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote telework with the requirement to be on-site at least one day per week on average. Occasional adjustments may be made based on team needs or project demands.
As a Software Engineer, Web, you are responsible for working directly with our product, documentation and marketing team to build cutting edge websites built with React. We take pride in our ability to handle a variety of tasks and come up with creative solutions for our teammates using a variety of technologies.
We are a small but scrappy engineering team that utilizes two-week sprint development cycles, daily standups, peer code reviews and individual project ownership. We maintain our own Design System and power our websites with our own Knowledge Graph and maintain our Multi-language features with a custom built Account Translator tool. In addition, we maintain homegrown templates to maintain our documentation and training websites using Vue and Hugo. Maintain our help site built on Zendesk.
The web team leverages Yext's products and works alongside the product team to help innovate internally and enhance the experience of our own customers.
You’ll be working hybrid: based in our Budapest Office and working with team members based in the US and London. True international experience is loaded for you!
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust features for our web properties.
- Take ownership of feature development from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with goals and strategies.
- Implement new features that enhance user engagement, conversion rates, and overall website performance.
- Create responsive and visually appealing web pages that cater to a diverse audience, considering various devices, languages & screen sizes.
- Help conduct regular performance analysis and optimization of the website to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.
- Implement best practices for SEO.
- Conduct thorough testing of developed features to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability.
- Consider internationalization and localization at every step of the development process.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2-3 years experience in modern Web Development

React knowledge is a must
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Typescript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript importantly
- Experience with back-end development using server-side and/or scripting languages (Node.js, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and agile development methodologies.
