
Originations Associate, Private Credit
About the Role
Yieldstreet is looking for an Originations Associate to join our Private Credit vertical. You will report to the Head of Private Credit and play an integral role in the growth of this vertical. You will be responsible for various aspects of origination and business management, including prospecting, new opportunity screening, and ad hoc tasks to improve team efficiencies. This role is critical in driving effective outcomes and reducing execution timelines.

Yieldstreet has originated over $6 billion in investments across multiple asset classes, including Asset-Backed Finance, Receivables and Trade Finance, Art Finance, Litigation Finance, and Real Estate. Investment structures include direct loans, private securitizations, whole loan transactions, and equity investments. Yieldstreet is headquartered in New York City, with offices in Greece, Brazil, Argentina, and Malta. This role requires you to work from our Manhattan office at least four days a week, with the option to work from home one day a week.
What You'll Do:
- Conceptualize and create presentations to drive deal origination activity.
- Prospect, set up, and participate in new investment screening meetings.
- Manage Salesforce database entries across the team, including logging new opportunities, detailing call notes, building and maintaining contact lists, and tracking key closing and funding dates.
- Follow up with partners on various requests and ensure that deal files are complete.
- Assist lead underwriters with initial due diligence of originators and borrowers, including basic analysis of company history, financials, transaction structures, and collateral quality.
- Conduct ad hoc investment research.
- Analyze origination trends to support strategic initiatives, grow the deal pipeline, and improve efficiency while reducing turnaround times.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience as an investment banking analyst or 5+ years in a sales operations role.
- Strong multitasking ability, excellent organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
- Execution-oriented mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines and a structured approach to scale and efficiency.
- Ability to work as part of a high-growth team within a venture-backed organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
- Prior experience working in Salesforce.
Bonus Points For:
- Ability to assess risk exposure and articulate financial and risk analysis clearly in both verbal and written forms.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including constructing cash flow models and performing sensitivity analyses on key performance drivers.
- Direct experience in commercial lending or asset-backed finance.
- Experience utilizing AI and machine learning systems to increase efficiencies.
- CPA, MBA in Finance, or completion of a formal Bank Credit Training Program.

Compensation:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - 120,000 (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
