Enterprise Account Executive

San Francisco, CA (Remote)

About Us

At You.com, we are building the AI Search Infrastructure that powers modern AI systems. Our goal is to create the trusted knowledge layer that agents, applications, and enterprises rely on to retrieve real-time, accurate, and citation-backed information.

Our platform combines proprietary vertical indexes with LLM-optimized retrieval systems to power AI agents, applications, and enterprise workflows. We are solving hard problems across search, large language models, and large-scale infrastructure to make AI systems more reliable, transparent, and useful.

Our team includes engineers, researchers, product builders, and operators who care about solving meaningful problems and delivering real-world impact. Whether you are improving core infrastructure, shaping product experiences, or helping bring new AI capabilities to market, your work will help define how modern AI finds and uses knowledge.

About the Role

You.com is the leading Web Search API for AI. Our real-time web data layer – the Web Search, Contents, Answer, Research, and Finance Research APIs – gives AI agents, LLMs, and enterprise products accurate, fresh, fast access to the open web, backed by enterprise-grade security (SOC 2, zero data retention, DPA-ready). We power search for teams at NVIDIA, Salesforce, Databricks, OpenAI, Amazon, and other leading AI labs and enterprises.

As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle selling our Web Search APIs to the technical and business teams building the next generation of AI agents and products. You will work with AI/ML engineers, product leaders, and enterprise buyers who need real-time, trustworthy web data to ground their models and agents.

This is a consultative, technical sales role for someone who thrives selling developer-first infrastructure in a fast-moving, competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, technical evaluation, negotiation, and close across our Web Search, Contents, Answer, and Research APIs.
  • Sell to developer-first buyers: engage AI/ML engineers, product managers, and data leaders embedding search and retrieval directly into agents and LLM-powered products.
  • Run tailored product demos and proof-of-concepts, partnering with Sales Engineering to prove out accuracy, latency, and freshness against customer benchmarks and competitive alternatives.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder deals, aligning technical evaluators, security/procurement, and executive sponsors at AI labs, high-growth AI companies, and enterprises.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound qualification, and partnerships; work closely with SDRs to keep it moving.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to shape roadmap, refine packaging, and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Track and report on pipeline, win rate, and expansion opportunities; forecast accurately against quota.
  • Voice of the customer: relay market feedback on competitive positioning, pricing, and product gaps to Product and Marketing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience in technical high growth SaaS, APIs/developer tools, or infrastructure; exposure to AI/ML a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota and closing multi-stakeholder deals with technical and enterprise buyers.
  • Technical fluency: comfortable discussing APIs, latency/accuracy tradeoffs, and how real-time web data grounds LLMs and agents.
  • Experience selling to developers, AI/ML teams, and technical decision-makers.
  • Consultative, curious, and competitive; thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Haves

  • Hands-on experience with APIs/SDKs (e.g., testing endpoints in Postman).
  • Experience selling to AI labs, agentic AI startups, or search/data infrastructure buyers.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape for AI-native search (Exa, Linkup, Tavily, Parallel, Bing/Google Search APIs).
