JOIN YOUSICIAN

Yousician impacts and enriches the lives of millions of people by empowering them to play music they love, learn something new, and nourish their well-being. We merge music and tech to amplify the everyday. We reimagine the way people learn to play so that everyone can play.

And, you don't need to be a musician to join Yousician!

We’re a band of passionate professionals who love what they do, are great at it, and move to the beat of the same drum. We’re for all players: from newbies to seasoned pros. If you are looking for a rewarding career opportunity that helps shape the future of music-tech, you’re in the right place!

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

We’re looking for Web App Developers to help us raise the standard for mobile web. In this role, you’ll create mobile-first web apps that feel as smooth, fast, and engaging. Web apps that people love to use on their phones, not just a fallback for a native app.

You’ll have the chance to push the boundaries of web technology, build resilient apps that perform even in less-than-ideal network conditions, on many types of phones, and help millions of users learn and play music in a way that feels intuitive, inspiring, and joyful.

If you thrive on building performant web apps, shaping user experiences, and moving fast in a multidisciplinary team, this is your chance to make a global impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build mobile-first web apps that deliver native-quality experiences in the browser.
  • Ensure performance across a wide range of devices and network conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and data scientists to shape features for mobile-first user experiences.
  • Create and maintain reusable, accessible components optimized for touch gestures and mobile use.
  • Improve tooling, testing, and performance from caching strategies to load-time optimization.
  • Contribute to a high-quality culture through automated testing and knowledge sharing.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong experience in modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, NextJS or similar frameworks).
  • A track record of building responsive, high-performance web apps across devices and browsers.
  • Solid understanding of mobile-first design principles, caching, and runtime performance optimization.
Familiarity with automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).
  • Collaborative, curious, and passionate about raising the bar for mobile web.
  • Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) or hybrid development.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • You’ll have an opportunity to join our international team, backed by the top VC’s and competing with the best education applications in the world
  • You'll have a meaningful and profound impact on the lives of millions of musicians and future musicians all around the world.
  • You’ll get to work with a passionate and friendly growing band of PMs, designers, developers and data scientists.
  • You'll get a competitive compensation package - salary, perks- and work in an awesome office in the heart of Berlin.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
