Product Manager (Execution & Delivery)

Helsinki

JOIN YOUSICIAN

Yousician impacts and enriches the lives of millions of people by empowering them to play music they love, learn something new, and nourish their well-being. We merge music and tech to amplify the everyday. We reimagine the way people learn to play so that everyone can play.

And, you don't need to be a musician to join Yousician!

We’re a band of passionate professionals who love what they do, are great at it, and move to the beat of the same drum. We’re for all players: from newbies to seasoned pros. If you are looking for a rewarding career opportunity that helps shape the future of music-tech, you’re in the right place!

Make Musicality as Common as Literacy

At Yousician, we reimagine music education for a billion people. Our products—Yousician and GuitarTuna—are the world’s leading music learning and tuning apps, used by millions of people to learn, play, and tune their instruments every day.

We believe that execution is strategy. Great ideas only matter if they ship on time and with high quality. We are looking for a Product Manager to act as the "Stage Manager" for our Helsinki development teams.

While the CPO and Tech Leads define the music we want to play, you are the one ensuring the show runs on time.

The Role

Your mission is simple: Shield the team from chaos.

You will act as the operational backbone for our core product teams. You will own the backlog, manage the sprint rituals, and clear the path so our world-class engineers can focus on what they do best—building the future of music education.

This is primarily a tactical role. We are looking for an "Operator" who loves process, organization, and shipping, rather than a "Visionary" looking to rewrite the strategy on Day 1.

Your Evolution: From "Stage Manager" to "Band Leader"

We view this role as the natural evolution toward becoming a full Product Owner.

  • Phase 1 (Execution): You start by mastering the how. You become the expert on our delivery pipeline, resource management, and team velocity.
  • Phase 2 (Strategy): As you deepen your understanding of our users, our market, and the commercial drivers of the business, you will expand your scope.
  • The Goal: We want to grow our future Product Owners from this role. The path is clear: prove you can run the process today, and you will earn the right to own the vision and P&L tomorrow.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Delivery Process: You run the daily engine of the team—stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You make them efficient, focused, and valuable.
  • Master the Backlog: You translate high-level goals into clear, actionable Jira tickets. You ensure every ticket has the right specs, designs, and acceptance criteria before it hits a developer’s desk.
  • Shield the Tech Leads: You handle the administrative load, resource planning, and "Tetris-playing" of dependencies, freeing up our senior technical talent to focus on code and architecture.
  • Quality Assurance (The Musician’s Ear): You don’t just check boxes; you use the product. You verify that features feel "musical" and meet our quality bar before they go live.
  • Bridge Communication: You act as the primary link between the Helsinki team and other departments (Marketing, Content, Data), ensuring everyone is aligned on timelines and trade-offs.

Who You Are

  • You are an "Operator": You get more satisfaction from a perfectly organized backlog and a green build pipeline than from debating high-level theory. You love getting things done.
  • You speak "Musician": You play an instrument (hobbyist level is great!) and understand the frustration and joy of learning. You know that "latency" isn't just a technical metric; it's a feeling.
  • You are a Process Pro: Whether you come from Engineering, QA, Game Production, or Project Management, you understand how software is built. You know how to spot a blocker before it becomes a delay.
  • You are Helsinki-based: This role requires you to be in the room with the team. You build trust by being present, visible, and available to unblock issues in real-time.
  • You have empathy: You can say "no" or "not yet" to stakeholders without burning bridges, and you know how to keep team morale high during tight sprints.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Game Production, or Agile Delivery for consumer mobile apps.
  • Musical competence: Ability to play an instrument (Guitar/Piano preferred) at a hobbyist/intermediate level.
  • Fluency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Linear, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) Helsinki.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Impact: You will be the reason our teams run smoothly. Your work directly correlates to the happiness of our developers and the quality of our releases.
  • Growth: This is a high-visibility role. You will work directly with the CPO and Engineering Leadership, giving you a front-row seat to how a product organization scales.
  • Culture: We are a band, not just a company. We have jam sessions in the office, great gear, and a team that genuinely cares about the mission.
  • The Basics: Competitive salary, lunch benefits, culture vouchers, and a modern office in the heart of Helsinki.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter describing a time you brought order to a chaotic project.
