WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

You will be the most senior HR person at Yousician. You will own the full people function with a small team around you: one HR/Office Manager and a part-time recruiter. No big department to hide behind and high ownership from day one. We are a Finnish music tech company going through a real growth transformation. We are leaning into AI across everything we do, cutting process debt, and building a company that can move fast with a lean team. HR is not exempt from that expectation.

What you will own

  • HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle
    You own the full employee lifecycle end to end: onboarding, offboarding, performance, development, and day-to-day employee support. You run it hands-on and you make it run well. You are the person managers call when something is hard, and you give them a straight answer. You translate legal requirements into practical, clear internal processes rather than hiding behind policy documents.
  • HRIS and Systems 
    You are the system owner for Rippling. You keep it clean, use it properly, and get more out of it than most people would. Data accuracy, process efficiency, and reporting capability are your responsibility. You find ways to automate what should be automated, and you have strong opinions about which tools help and the initiative to implement them.
  • People Development 
    You support leaders in building high-performing, engaged teams. You plan and drive initiatives around learning, development, and career growth. You coach managers on feedback, people leadership, and team development, and you do it in a way that actually changes behavior rather than just ticking a box.
  • Performance Management 
    You own the performance management framework: goal-setting, review cycles, development conversations. You make sure expectations are clear, fair, and consistently applied across the company. When the process is not working, you fix it.
  • Process and Organizational Development 
    You identify operational gaps and build practical solutions. You develop scalable HR processes and policies that fit a company our size, not a 500-person enterprise. You support organizational change and transformation without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • AI-Augmented Ways of Working
    You use AI tools as a matter of course, not as a novelty. Where a bigger team might throw headcount at a problem, you find a smarter way. This is not optional: it is central to how we expect this role to operate.

Who you are

  • You have done this before in a fast-moving tech or software company. You know what lean looks like and you do not need a team of five to get things done. You are the kind of person who figures it out rather than escalating upward.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and a bit of chaos. Not because you like chaos for its own sake, but because you know how to bring order to it without slowing everything down.
  • You know Finnish labor law well enough to navigate it practically, not just theoretically. Knowledge of German labor law is a plus: we have a growing team in Berlin and that context will matter.
  • You are genuinely curious about AI tools and already use them in your work. If that sentence made you roll your eyes, this is probably not the right role.
  • You can hold a strategic conversation with the CEO in the morning and sort out a payroll question in the afternoon without either feeling beneath you.
