Facility Manager
Y Soft is seeking a driven Facility Manager to oversee our headquarters in Brno and offices in Prague and Ostrava. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a supportive and inclusive work environment that supports hybrid and remote work.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day will involve a mix of routine tasks, strategic planning, and some challenges. Working as part of the agile, manager-less Operations team, you will have the freedom to innovate, lead projects, and redesign processes where needed. Expect variety and autonomy in this impactful role.
- Create an exceptional workspace: Lead initiatives to build an inclusive, welcoming, and functional office environment.
- Facility management: Oversee daily operations, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security, and small asset management.
- Process development: Design and implement standardized facility management processes, including sustainability initiatives and emergency preparedness.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Vendor management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with facility suppliers.
- Fleet management: Supervise and maintain the company car fleet.
- Travel: Conduct regular checks of premises in Prague and Ostrava.
What We Expect
While your team will support you, this role requires a high level of independence. We expect you to take initiative, develop budgets and business cases, and execute your plans effectively.
- Design-savvy: Knowledge of office space design trends and experience optimizing workspace layouts.
- Technical knowledge: Familiarity with building maintenance and systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, fire protection, security).
- Language skills: Proficiency in Czech and English (B2 or higher).
- Tech-savvy: Comfort using modern tools and technologies to enhance workflows.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly within the Czech Republic (Prague, Brno, Ostrava).
- Driving license: Active driver (Category B).
- Mindset: A "can-do" attitude and enthusiasm for delivering results.
