About the Role 

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Banking Platform organization, reporting into the Group Product Manager. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end build and delivery of Zafin One implementations for our customers, preparing, managing, and executing plans, and ensuring priorities in the product roadmap are well designed and governed to achieve desired results for Zafin’s customers.

You will bring sound experience in technical project management, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity by creating a structured, but flexible, approach to project delivery. 

 What You Will Do 

• Own and manage Zafin One build and implementation projects, to ensure smooth and quality delivery on time. 

• Plan, co-ordinate, monitor and ensure the various activities required for the successful completion of the assigned project on schedule & within budget, and manage the project team. 

• Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration of Zafin One for client engagements, from definition phase through implementation. 

• Manage technical risks throughout the project and balance technical requirements with conflicting customer needs; navigate a technical solution that will work for all parties. 

• Create and execute project plans for a successful and smooth delivery experience for Zafin’s customers. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional virtual teams in planning and execution to deliver on Zafin One implementation objectives. 

• Drive governance meetings with stakeholders, both internal and external, and work with the Group Product Manager and Chief Product Officer to deliver to client commitments. 

• Review activities on a cross-functional basis to ensure dependencies are identified, tracked, and addressed, and roadblocks removed. 

• Review work of the development team; communicate and enforce coding standards. 

• Recognize system and technical deficiencies and implement effective solutions. 

• Develop project-level reports and presentations to help facilitate leadership-level discussions across the organization. 

• Develop and maintain the project plan. 

• Perform risk and issue management. 

• Ensure communication management within the project; convene team meetings and participate in reviews, walkthroughs, etc. as and when required. 

• Perform code reviews, and mentor and guide team members on technical challenges. 

• Review the status reports of team members and address issues as appropriate. 

• Comply with and help enforce standard policies and procedures. 

• Be open to travel onsite as and when required. 

• Motivate the team to work together in the most efficient manner, effectively utilizing each team member to their fullest potential. 

What You Need to Succeed 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required; MBA or equivalent preferred but not necessary. 

• 5+ years of progressive project or technical project management experience, preferably in banking, financial services, or enterprise SaaS environments. 

• Ability to solve complex technical problems and to seek out and generate innovative solutions. 

• Working knowledge of software development concepts, data analysis, and system design. 

• Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of project management (waterfall, Agile, Scrum). 

• Experience working with project management tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, or similar) and digital tools (i.e., JIRA or similar). 

Nice to Have 

• Domain knowledge in financial services/banking with international clients is preferred.

• Zafin One commitments are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard. 

• Risks and dependencies are identified early and managed proactively, with minimal surprises to leadership. 

• Customers and internal stakeholders view the Project Manager as a trusted, steady point of contact throughout delivery. 

• The delivery team is well informed, aligned, and motivated, even where reporting lines are indirect. 

Additional Job Details 

• Expected Salary Range: $103,000 - $130,000

• Use of AI: Zafin may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or other forms of automated technology to screen and/or assess applicants for this position. Zafin will not utilize AI for conducting interviews and/or making hiring decisions.
• This role operates in a fast-paced SaaS banking product environment with customer-facing delivery timelines. The candidate should be comfortable working remotely, in office, or in a hybrid model, collaborating across multiple time zones, and traveling onsite as and when required.
