Job description:

ZAM Network is seeking an Assistant Controller for a highly visible role. Core responsibility includes principal accounting resources for the ZAM’s accounting activity and GAAP reporting. Supports internal accounting policy and processes. The Assistant Controller is responsible for ensuring that the company's financial records are accurate and timely, and for guiding decision-making with financial statements and reports. You will also assist in compliance, audits, and monitoring internal controls. The role will serve as the hub for intercompany accounting, managing department transactions, and reconciliation of account activities.

Salary for this role will range from $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 based in TX or CO. This is a fully remote with proven performance. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily and monthly accounting processes for the accounting team.
  • Serve as a key finance and accounting resource within the organization, under the guidance of the Director of Finance & Accounting, and in close coordination with external auditors. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Act as an internal accounting point of contact on behalf of the organization for accounting operations, including, but not limited to recording and analyzing revenue, overseeing accounts payable, and reporting, analysis, and audit support for both of our US and Singapore entities. Prepare key financial reports and analysis for management.
  • Drive the monthly close process, including recording journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and financial analysis schedules.
  • Review and maintain finance-related policies and procedures for the organization; continuously assess finance processes and procedures, including controls and governance.
  • Assist with the annual audit process, including preparing supporting schedules, managing financial, analytical, and compliance issues.
  • Maintain internal and external relationships with auditors, banks, vendors, etc. as necessary and appropriate.
  • Other ad-hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting required 
  • CPA designation required 
  • Auditing experience in public accounting desirable.
  • Extraordinary Excel / PowerPointskills
  • Proficiency in IRFS, US GAAP and Regulatory reporting.
  • Good judgment and discretion regarding sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability and willingness to wear many hats; has a roll up your sleeves can do attitude
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment along with being proactive and organized
  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
