The Role
investment in brand marketing. We are creating and implementing the ZenBusiness brand strategy with a focus on expert-backed innovations like ZenBusiness Velo, our personalized, expert-backed AI assistant.
As Senior Brand Manager, you will be the internal and external brand-enabler, helping the company make decisions that are on-brand and in support of all small business owners. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to the VP of Brand Marketing and Director, Brand Creative, ensuring follow-through on cross-functional strategic initiatives and coordinating across product, design, growth, bizdev, and sales teams to ensure that strategies become actions.
You will also ensure our brand strategy and creative execution are seamlessly aligned with direct responsibility for developing strategies, drafting creative briefs, and overseeing creative execution of both foundational brand creative and targeted campaign creative.
Responsibilities
Be the Brand Filter
- Partner with Product, Product Design, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure decisions align with brand strategy and customer experience.
- Infuse brand into go-to-market planning, product launches, customer journeys, and growth campaigns—balancing short-term activation with long-term brand building.
- Provide clear, actionable guidance that helps internal and external teams execute faster without sacrificing consistency.
Empower Brand Stewardship
- Create scalable frameworks, training, and toolkits that empower all employees to embody the brand.
- Don’t police the brand; instead, activate brand ambassadors and advocates both inside and outside the organization
- Champion storytelling and education across functions, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our voice, tone, and values.
Leverage AI to Scale Impact
- Use AI tools to accelerate content strategy, creative exploration, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to shape how our technology and innovations like ZenBusiness Velo show up in brand-safe and customer-first ways.
Collaborate with Brand Creative
- Work closely with the Director, Brand Creative, to ensure creative expression elevates brand strategy.
- Translate positioning and guidelines into briefs, feedback, and priorities for the creative team.
- Align on systems that balance distinctive storytelling with scalable execution, ensuring every piece of creative is rooted in brand fundamentals.
Drive Content Development & Refresh
- Lead the execution of the content refresh initiative, ensuring consistency and service across Website, Velo, Dashboard, Mobile, Email, CS, and Sales.
- Draft creative briefs and strategies for agencies, consultants, and partners, ensuring output is on-brand, scalable, and actionable.
- Oversee workflows, timelines, and partner relationships to deliver high-quality assets on time and within budget.
Lead Integrated Marketing Campaigns
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute integrated brand marketing campaigns that connect across channels.
- Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Enterprise teams to plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, features, and services.
- Ensure campaigns and GTMs align with the broader brand strategy and support performance and growth objectives.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or related roles, with a track record of managing cross-functional initiatives and external partners.
- Strong experience creating and scaling brand systems – not just campaigns, but frameworks that align teams and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver both long-term brand building (equity, trust, awareness) and short-term activation (campaign ROI, GTM launches).
- Proficiency in developing creative briefs, managing agencies/consultants, and ensuring output is strategically on-brand and operationally scalable.
- Familiarity with AI tools and methods to accelerate brand strategy, content development, and cross-team collaboration.
- Adept at working with product, design, engineering, and growth teams to integrate brand into product experiences and go-to-market plans.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with proven ability to influence without authority, align diverse stakeholders, and drive follow-through.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to articulate brand strategy and inspire alignment from senior executives to execution teams.
- Comfortable balancing strategy and execution: able to zoom out to shape brand guardrails while rolling up sleeves to manage detailed projects.
Bonus Qualifications
- Personal experience with entrepreneurship and small business ownership.
- Understanding of Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Experience working in a brand for SaaS or tech platforms that support small business ownership, including related online consumer categories like Fintech or web services.
