Engineering Manager, Mobile (React Native) (f/m/d)
The Role
As the Engineering Manager for Zenjob's Mobile & Martech Platform Team, you will be at the forefront of enabling our Product & Engineering (P&E) teams to build and evolve the platform that powers all client-facing experiences for our workers. This includes our Mobile apps, our website, and key Martech integrations.
Your mission is to make this platform accessible and effective for engineers across the organization while maintaining high technical standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive technical direction, foster team development, and strengthen cross-functional alignment.

What You'll Do
Technical Leadership
- Drive the evolution of our client-facing platform to ensure it’s accessible, flexible, and simple for all P&E teams to contribute.
- Define and uphold high standards for code quality, technical design, and performance, especially around React and React Native development.
- Work with Product Managers to influence and prioritize the team's technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Team Management
- Hire, mentor, and support engineers while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages learning, growth, and open collaboration.
- Ensure the team’s goals align with Zenjob’s broader business objectives, supporting a results-driven mindset.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Ensure the platform’s documentation, tools, and processes support smooth cross-functional contributions from other teams.
- Partner with the Marketing team to enhance integrations with tools like Adjust, Braze and many others.
- Build strong connections with other teams to reduce technical silos, unify development workflows, and share best practices.
Platform Enablement and Support
- Drive efforts to make the Mobile platform self-service by developing tools, automation, and clear processes that empower teams to contribute independently.
- Be a point of contact for teams leveraging the platform, offering support and guidance where needed.
Who You Are
- Technically Proficient: You’re a frontend expert with solid experience in React and/or React Native (bonus points for deep expertise in both), and you have a strong appreciation for clean, maintainable code.
- Experienced Engineering Manager: You’ve spent a couple of years leading engineering teams, ideally with a focus on frontend or mobile platforms. You understand the balance between technical leadership and team management and are comfortable guiding your team to achieve both quality and efficiency.
- Outcome-Focused: You ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with business impact, prioritizing projects that support tangible outcomes.
- Effective Communicator: You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams and stakeholders.

Our Tech Stack
Our platform runs on AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, and Docker, which allows us to scale efficiently. Microservices and backends are developed using Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot, while our web frontend runs on React. Quality is ensured with tools like Playwright, JUnit, and other automated testing frameworks. We value an experimental mindset, using A/B testing and constant user feedback to refine our products.
