Video Editor
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Video Editor with 7+ years of professional editing experience to lead post production on our brand campaigns, product launches, and social content. This role is ideal for an editor who thrives in a fast paced creative environment and brings a refined eye for pacing, color, sound, and narrative structure across short form and long form work. In addition to the core editing responsibilities, there are also opportunities to collaborate on video direction and production.
Reporting to the Manager, Video Post Production and Design, this is a hybrid position based in our LA studio, requiring regular in-studio presence (typically 2-3 days per week) with some flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Editing: Own end-to-end editorial for high-priority brand, product, and campaign videos, from selects and rough cut through final delivery.
- Storytelling & Craft: Shape narrative, pacing, and emotional tone across short-form social, broadcast, and long-form content while maintaining brand consistency.
- Color & Finishing: Perform color correction, basic grading, and finishing in collaboration with colorists and motion designers to deliver polished final masters.
- Audio Post: Edit dialogue, music, and sound effects; coordinate with sound designers and mix engineers to achieve broadcast-quality audio.
- Motion & VFX Collaboration: Partner with motion designers, VFX artists, and 3D teams to integrate graphics, titles, and visual effects seamlessly into final edits.
- Mentorship: Guide junior editors and assistant editors, providing creative direction, technical feedback, and review of cuts.
- Workflow & Delivery: Manage media organization, project files, version control, and final deliverable specs across broadcast, web, social, and OOH platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio across brand, commercial, or campaign work
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including After Effects and Audition
- Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for color correction and finishing workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead editorial on multiple concurrent projects from concept through final delivery
- Strong storytelling instincts with a refined sense of pacing, rhythm, and visual continuity
- Solid understanding of audio editing, mixing fundamentals, and sound design principles
- Experience preparing deliverables to broadcast, web, and social platform specifications
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with directors, producers, and cross functional creative teams
- Outstanding attention to detail and special care given to sensitive proprietary information and products
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, with regular in studio presence required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Editing experience in the eyewear, fashion, beauty, or lifestyle industries
- Proficiency with motion graphics and basic compositing in After Effects
- Existing relationships with colorists, sound designers, and post production vendors in LA
- Knowledge of current social and digital platform trends, formats, and editing styles
- Working knowledge of 3D and VFX pipelines (such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar) and LUT management

Compensation
In addition to other forms of compensation, such as perks and benefits, the estimated salary range for this role is $111-115K USD for candidates in California. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.
