Position Overview:
We are currently looking a Production Team Lead to grow in the optical field and join our team at our site in Obetz, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be an integral part in leading our associates and fostering teamwork, while assisting in building a productive, motivated, and outstanding team.

Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Supervisor to ensure consistent and productive line flow
  • Assist in training employees
  • Communicate with Supervisor on any challenges or obstacles
  • Ambassador for efficiency, quality, and productivity
  • Partner and participant in striving for continuous improvement for increased productivity, and maintaining high quality standards
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Ensure daily / monthly KPIs are met
  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • Hold accountability
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong statistical skills, problem solving and data analysis
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and listen at all levels
  • Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability
  • Clear documentation skills

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to work overtime and weekday hours as needed
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of workplace safety best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, time management and communication skills
  • Technical ability and competent in software tools including Microsoft Office Suite and various optical management software
  • Previous optical manufacturing (preferred) 
  • Experience in evaluating equipment, product and process development, and solving production problems
  • Authorization to work in the United States required
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Prior leadership experience is a bonus!
