About the Role
We are currently looking for a Picking Room Lead to grow in the optical field and join our team at our site in Obetz, Ohio. This person will be the first point of contact for shipping, picking & inventory. This is an entry level leadership position where the ideal candidate will be an integral part in leading our associates and fostering teamwork. The successful candidate will strive in building a productive, motivated, and outstanding team!
Shift Availability:
Friday - Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm (must be available for overtime as needed, including weekdays)
Compensation: $26.00 - $28.00/hour (+$1.50 Shift Differential)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the order picking flow and inventory room
- Manage outgoing shipments among several carriers
- Report daily ship numbers and track job history
- Assist in training employees and perform audits
- Resolve errors and associate relations on the floor
- Partner with Supervisor to ensure consistency
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Ensure daily / monthly KPIs are met
- Adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures (i.e. Health & Safety Awareness)
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong outbound background in distribution & inventory
- Previous leadership experience
- Documentation skills
- Excellent computer skills (G-Suite)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
