Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and customer-focused Site Merchandising Manager to join our dynamic team in Shanghai. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing the online merchandising strategy to create a best-in-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce, a keen eye for product, and a passion for using data to drive decisions that enhance the customer journey and maximize revenue.
As a manager, you will own the product presentation on our website, ensuring that we feature the right products, in the right place, at the right time. Your work will directly impact key business metrics, including conversion rate, average order value (AOV), and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive site merchandising strategy that aligns with company goals, marketing campaigns, and inventory positions.
- Product Curation & Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of products on the site, from initial setup in our PIM/CMS to product optimization, categorization, attribution, sequencing, and removal. Curate product collections for landing pages, campaigns, and email marketing.
- Website Optimization: Manage and optimize key areas of the customer journey, including the homepage, category pages, landing pages, and on-site search results to drive product discovery and sales.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and internal dashboards to monitor site performance, analyze customer behavior, and identify trends. Deliver regular reports on key merchandising KPIs to stakeholders.
- A/B Testing & Personalization: Partner with the product and tech teams to devise and implement A/B tests and personalization strategies to continuously improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Planning, Inventory, Creative, and Customer Service teams to ensure a cohesive and seamless customer experience. Align merchandising plans with promotional calendars and product launch schedules.
- Market & Trend Analysis: Stay current with e-commerce best practices, competitor strategies, and eyewear industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the merchandising team, fostering a culture of data-driven excellence and continuous improvement.

- Promotion ROI and sell-through rates
- Inventory turnover for eCommerce SKUs
- Customer repeat purchase rate
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience in e-commerce site merchandising, preferably within a fast-paced, direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of using data and analytics to drive business results.
- Hands-on experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A customer-centric mindset with a strong eye for visual detail and user experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to optimize website content for search engines.
- Industry experience in high-consideration or configurable customizable products (e.g., eyewear, electronics, etc) preferred
- Experience managing direct reports or mentoring junior team members.
- Passion for ecommerce and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
