Position Overview:
Zenni is looking for Site Reliability Engineers to join our team to help build. optimize and scale the cloud infrastructure for our next-generation ecommerce platform. The SREs are responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Security and monitoring. Zenni Optical is a critical 24x7 ecommerce operation that handles millions of users per month so the primary responsibility of the SRE team is to make sure our platform is fast, efficient, reliable, secure and cost efficient.
You will be working closely with the architects and engineers at Zenni to develop and deploy secure, highly available and scalable web services. This is a phenomenal role for someone who believes in building automation, driving simplification and crafting an impressive, five nines culture. We are looking for someone with an "automation" mindset.
What we want you to own in this role:
- End to End Automation of application build and deployment
- Ongoing scaling of our platform to support forecasted peak traffic
- “Infrastructure as code” standardization and improving automation of systems, processes, and services
- Provisioning and configure Cloud resources, Self-hosted tools and 3rd party integrations
- Maintaining development and production environments
- Platform optimization including response time, error rate, cost effectiveness etc.
- Participate in on-call rotation
What skills do you need?
- At least 5 years of production engineering experience
- Experience with Kubernetes environments
- Solid understanding of web application configuration and deployment
- Experience with managing services on at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD tools – GitHub workflows, GCP Cloud Build, Harness, Argo CD.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Ability to code in at least one programming language
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Being proficient in an English working environment
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with GCP services – Cloud Run, Cloud Build, PubSub, GKE, Firestore, Cloud Armor, Cloud CDN will be a huge plus
- Experience with CDN systems like Akamai, Cloudflare
- Experience with Security best practices for Cloud
- Understand GitOps deployment methodology
- eCommerce experience - Oracle ATG or Magento
