About This Role

We are seeking a Skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to assist in drain repairs and other projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in excavation, pipework, and overall site work experience and will be based out of our growing Gypsum, CO office.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment.
  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
  • Follow OSHA safety procedures.
  • Load, unload and secure equipment on transport trailers according to guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety training and safety inspections.
  • Manage PPE, and overall safety within the work site.

We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • Proficient in operating loaders, excavators, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Class A CDL

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
  • To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear, and talk. 
  • The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. 
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. 
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required. 
  • The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.  
  • This role is expected to work Monday through Friday from 7:30am-5pm, with occasional on call weeks. This position at times, calls for weekend and overtime hours.

The pay for this position is $30-$40/hour or more depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus performance based incentives.
