Position Overview
As the Studio Manager, you will provide critical support to fulfilling the mission of Zero Studios with an opportunity to help challenge and define best practices. An entrepreneurial spirit and business-oriented focus are paramount. This position plays a pivotal role in fulfilling our mission through providing operational and logistical support to our team across multiple locations as well as maintaining our physical and virtual spaces.
Your primary responsibility will be maintaining the NYC Studio space. In this role, you will manage the overall studio ambiance for our team and guests alike. This will be achieved through a willingness to go the extra distance with the smallest of details. An eagerly social and optimistic attitude are the key to successfully representing the Studio when hosting guests or planning cultural events for our community.
As a part of the Operations team, the Studio Manager plays a key role in ensuring each individual and the overall team are positioned to produce the best work possible. Attention to detail and communication skills are a must. Defining and implementing process efficiencies across internal operations processes as well as establishing relationships will be vital to your success.
As the Studio Manager, our expectation is that you approach the day-to-day with a positive, and solutions-oriented mindset. We believe the traits of kindness, respect, and empathy are vital to the role and a high degree of emotional intelligence and strategic thinking will be keys to success.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Operations team is responsible for human resources, accounting, and internal initiatives. The following is a non-exhaustive list to illustrate some of the day-to-day duties for this position.
Studio Spaces:
- Manage studio ambiance; including anything from vibes for the team and guests to breaking down boxes
- Maintain and develop every detail of the studio environment to be a better, more comfortable and conducive space to create best in class work
- Greet and welcome all visitors
- Assist in planning team, studio, client cultural events and programming
- Inventory Management & Procurement of office supplies and equipment
Operations:
- Operate as point of contact between studio locations
- Manage and track agendas for various teams
- Monitor internal project budgets and risks
- Moderate case studies and project reflections
- Assist in policy and process development
- SaaS license management
- Equipment lease management
Logistics:
- Procurement, shipping, and receiving
- Manage Team Travel Arrangements
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance
Skills & Competencies
This position is perfect for a self-starter in the early stages of their career or interested in changing industries. Related experiences and skills include:
- Highly organized on virtual platforms and familiarity with such tools as Calendars, Slack, Notion,
- Excellent communication skills
- Event planning
- Familiarity with project management tasks
Experience
- 2+ years of agency or administrative experience
Reporting Structure
- As a member of the Operations team, you will report directly to the Director of Operations
- Locally you will report to the Executive Team located in our New York City office
