Position Overview
As a Junior Social Strategist & Content Creator, you’ll collaborate with the social media and creative teams in strategic concepting and planning for social media, content calendar planning, content creation and metrics analysis and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you are required to stay up to date on fast-moving trend cycles and culturally relevant topics to understand what will resonate for brands online. You are someone who has a natural affinity and passion for the internet and will be the person who consistently brings this awareness and thinking to the team at large.
You’ll work directly with teams across disciplines, including Accounts and Creative. Candidates are expected to have a foundation in social media strategy and content creation. In this role, your primary responsibility is to collaborate with our teams to create the most effective work possible in an enjoyable, engaging, and positive environment.

Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Concepting & Planning
- Conduct research including social media audits, social listening, platform/channel determination, messaging and target audience identification
- Collaborate with and occasionally facilitate brainstorming workshops with the creative team to concept and execute content that drives engagement
- Keep the Zero team on top of trends and stay plugged into industry updates, following developments from major social platforms and innovative social marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with the team on influencer discovery, strategy, outreach, briefing, and contracting
Content Creation
- Collaborate on the production of social content creation for posts and video across various platforms while creating content yourself
- Collaborate with the creative team in ensuring the look, feel, and voice & tone stay on-brand for Zero’s clients
Metrics Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze metrics on organic and paid channels to determine what’s working, what’s not, and where there are opportunities for change and growth
Skills & Competencies
- An affinity for being online and a passion for the internet and cultural trends
- Ability to plan, shoot and edit TikTok and Reels content in-platform
- Ability to collaborate on the creation of social calendars based on strategy
- Keen eye for detail and a high degree of familiarity with internet trends
- Interest in influencer partnerships and knowledge of influencer trend cycles
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach, taking initiative and responsibility for tasks
Nice-To-Haves
- Ability to travel to shoot UGC content (i.e. stop into retailers and shoot video, shoot photos at different locations for static content, etc.) and comfort shooting content in your home space
- Interest in social copywriting including captions & in-post copy
- Eye for design & videography production
Years of Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in social media strategy and content creation for clients

This position reports to the Marketing & Social Director
