About the Role
ZetaChain is looking for a proactive and resourceful IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining internal systems, supporting employees, and helping execute on security and IT operations. This role blends traditional help desk responsibilities with the chance to grow into systems administration and data analysis work. You'll receive mentorship from experienced engineers and direct access to leadership.
You’ll work in a fast-paced startup environment that values ownership, autonomy, and the ability to learn quickly.
What You'll Do
You’ll be the point person for internal IT support and a key player in helping ZetaChain stay productive, secure, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on IT support to employees across hardware, software, and SaaS tools
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and access setup
- Administer company systems like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and other SaaS tools
- Support asset management and Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Assist with Identity and Access Management (IAM) including SSO tools
- Help with lightweight internal IT projects (e.g., rolling out new tools, setting up SSO, endpoint management)
- Build and maintain simple dashboards or reports for internal teams
- Handle security administration tasks like password resets and access reviews
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a generalist role and wants to grow into broader responsibilities over time. You enjoy solving real-world tech problems, are excited by the idea of supporting a high-performing team, and care about clean, secure systems.
You Likely Have
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or systems admin role
- Familiarity with SaaS admin tools (e.g. Google Workspace, JAMF, Okta, 1Password, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Mac and/or Linux systems
- Experience supporting internal users and managing devices
- Interest or experience in building dashboards, using tools like Google Sheets, Metabase, ClickHouse, and basic SQL
Bonus Points
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (Kandji, JAMF, or similar)
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows, scripting, or automation tools
- Exposure to AI tools or large language models
- Interest in Web3 technologies or blockchain fundamentals
- Awareness of security best practices or participation in security processes
Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 (San Francisco benchmark)
In addition to the base salary, all full-time team members receive an additional 10% to 25% in liquid benefits with upside based on role, experience, and impact. We believe in building together and sharing in the long-term success of the network. Compensation packages are designed to be competitive and aligned with the growth of both the team and the ecosystem.
Hybrid Office Culture
We believe that collaboration is supercharged when we share space together. Many members of our team work from our San Francisco office, and we aim for 3 in-office days per week. We know life happens, whether it’s travel, appointments, or family needs and we’re flexible when the schedule needs to shift. The company is a mix of remote and local team members but this position will be based out of the office.
