  • Scalability & Reliability: Ensure the platform's architecture can handle increasing scale and complexity, with a focus on high availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
  • Developer Enablement: Create tools, frameworks, and best practices that improve the developer experience, accelerate development velocity, and ensure consistency across all applications.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to keep the platform at the forefront of innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to embed security, monitoring, and operational best practices into the platform's design and development lifecycle.
  • Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and governance standards for the platform's architecture and usage.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a lead architect or principal engineer role.
  • Extensive experience designing and building large-scale, distributed application platforms.
  • Deep expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar, and a proven track record of architecting platforms to support them.
  • Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) systems.
  • Experience with security architecture, including threat modeling and secure-by-design principles.
  • A track record of contributing to open-source projects or speaking at industry conferences.
