AI Engineer Intern - Core AI

The intern will join the Core AI Pod within Zeta Engineering, working alongside engineers and data scientists who build and scale Zeta Global’s AI-driven marketing platform. In this role, the intern will support the development of core machine learning and data infrastructure that powers client solutions across the company. This internship provides hands-on experience contributing to high-impact technology that supports Zeta Global’s enterprise products and business goals.
Summer 2026 Internship Information
- Real-world, hands-on experience in the marketing technology industry (85% of work in internship role and 15% of internship with professional development/webinars/activities)
- Hybrid in our San Francisco office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office)
- June 16th through Late August
- $23.00/hour
- Full-time - 40 hours per week
- Weekly lunches and social gatherings in office
- Speaker Series with subject matter experts across Zeta Global
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, training, and evaluating LLMs for core platform use cases.
- Build and maintain data and ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model deployment support.
- Run experiments, analyze results, and document findings to guide model and system improvements.
- Help monitor model performance in production and propose fixes or optimizations when issues arise.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., data, product, engineering).
Qualifications
- Graduate students preferred.
- Computer Science/Math/Physics/Engineering degree or pursuit or degree preferred
- Prior work experience or exposure in a similar position
