Supervisor, Quality & Co-Pack Operations
Summary
The Quality and Co-Pack Supervisor will work with the operations team supporting quality investigations, consumer complaints, and co-packer quality issues, ensuring business goals, deadlines and deliverables are met. The supervisor will work cross-functionally with internal teams as well as co-packers. The supervisor will attend new product launches at the co-packer acting as support for the Co-Pack Manager when multiple productions occur simultaneously.

- Lead and assist in the development of Quality Systems
- Assist in the development of the Zevia Quality platform and testing methods
- Create internal SOPs and work instructions, revise Beverage Manual SOPs as warranted
- Lead and assist manufacturing plant launch for production, testing, and quality parameters
- Maintain accurate and organized records of quality activities by co-packer
- Review and report all transactional beverage quality metrics
- Lead and assist in communication between teams and partners including detailed meeting notes, status updates, and follow ups specific to co-packers. Provide leadership updates on key initiatives, as needed
- Spearhead ongoing efficiencies and cost savings initiatives with co-pack partners.
- Assist and support the Co-Pack Manager in certification runs, best practice opportunities and new product runs at existing co-packers
- Support co-pack processes through presentations and working with the co-packers on quality and manufacturing performance, including waste, changeovers, equipment performance, batching audits, inventory management and Zevia quality standards adherence
- Work closely with all co-packers, re-packers and suppliers to ensure exact product specifications and procedures are being followed. Provide mentorship and training as needed
- Review and approve co-packer batch sheets prior to new product launches
- Understand and assist the manufacturing plants in Zevia production, testing, and quality parameters. To include extensive knowledge, and reporting of the quality items at the manufacturing level
- Track, manage and file corrective actions from copackers, suppliers and warehouses
- Provide quality support for all Consumer Relations inquiries and FAQs
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
- Beverage and laboratory experience (TA, pH, CO2, brix, microbiology, etc.)
- Bachelor’s preferred, experience considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum of two (2) years of quality experience
- Proficient computer skills with PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Leadership experience
- Policy development
- CAPA experience
- Audit certification or experience
- Food manufacturing processes, protocols, and safe food handling concepts
- Beverage manufacturing aptitude
- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to prioritize and troubleshoot
- Hands-on experience with Operations or Mechanical processes
- Excellent listener – delivers on the requested deliverable correctly the first time
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – will need to collaborate up, down and across the organization, as well as with suppliers, to achieve results
- Must have good organization, prioritization, mathematical and deductive reasoning skills
- Willing to be flexible, work well with diverse teams in a collaborative environment and grow with the company
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities over processes with no direct reports
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Travel
This position requires up to 40% travel. Travel will frequently be outside of the local area and overnight. Must have ability to travel within the United States and Canada.

Our compensation package includes a base pay range + bonus + equity
Pay Range
$85,000 - $90,000 USD
