About the Role:
We are seeking a high-impact action-oriented self-starter with strong business acumen and CPG commercial experience to support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and senior Sales leadership in partnership with the Insights Department in our a fast-growing beverage company. This role bridges aspects of strategic planning, sales operations, analytics, and cross-functional execution into a hands-on growth driving leadership opportunity. The successful candidate will help optimize commercial performance through data-driven insights, holistic business case development, cross-functional initiative management, KPI reporting, and ownership of key sales operations processes necessary for a high-performing team. When well executed, this role drives change-evolution in a growing CPG company that makes the organization an increasingly effective commercial entity in its retail landscape.
Summary
The Sr. Manager of Commercial Planning and Growth’s main priority is supporting commercial growth and profitability through comprehensive analysis, momentum driving project management & process design, and impactful reporting across sales channels and customers to capitalize on opportunities and inform decision-making. As part of ensuring this, they will be responsible for contributions to commercial strategic planning, business case development, annual business planning, KPI tracking, volume performance management, and ad-hoc problem solving related to sales operations / enablement.
The ideal candidate must be effective in simplifying complex data and topics, operating with independence to drive progress. The role will require the creation and management of templates and processes for reporting and tracking key data sets and KPIs across functions, driving visibility, learning and action. The role requires the ability to unearth root causes and build applicable solutions or recommendations accordingly. They will act as a trusted advisor and right-hand to the CCO, providing thought leadership, decision support, and strategic guidance, supporting efficient alignment of senior leadership and key stakeholders around key commercial priorities, initiatives, and challenges. The role offers direct exposure to the CCO and executive decision-making, opportunity to shape and scale commercial operations in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting, and contribution to a high-performance culture with clear pathways to broader commercial leadership roles.

Commercial Planning & Business Case Development
- Structures business-case models & proposals based on key commercial assumptions and inputs from partnering departments in Ops, Marketing, Finance for assessment and executive decision
- Supports the build-out and/or implementation of business-development initiatives in both existing and new channels and markets
- Serve as project lead for CCO-sponsored initiatives involving multiple departments (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance); driving consistent execution against critical objectives and customer deliverables
Annual Commercial Planning & Sales Strategy
- Manage the annual business planning cycle aligned to key growth levers: pricing, promotions, distribution, and programming
- Design and lead cross-functional planning process with Marketing, Operations, and Finance stakeholders, yielding integrated plans that tie strategic goals to tactical initiatives and metrics
- Analyze performance gaps and develop targets for course correction
KPI Tracking & Performance Management
- Collaborate with Finance & Revenue teams to develop and manage dashboards for core sales and commercial KPIs (revenue, volume, margin, trade spend, distribution)
- Deliver Key Account performance scorecards to leadership and ensure accountability across teams at channel, team, and account level
- Monitor performance-to-plan and proactively assess root-cause as to advise on execution risks/opportunities and potential action plans
- Identify volume trends, risks, and whitespace opportunities through sales-data insights and competitive market assessment
Sales Operations & Enablement
- Serve as lead sales point of contact for forecasting process lead by Finance team
- Own recurring Monthly & Quarterly business review process for CCO & VP Trade Finance
- Structure and maintain centralized document and communication platforms and processes for Sales Team
- Support CCO in executive-level presentation development (Board-ready) with clear insights and effective content structure
What We're Looking For
- 4–6+ years in commercial strategy, sales operations, corporate strategy, or consulting—ideally in CPG, beverage, or retail sectors.
- MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical background with advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and ERP integrations and plus
- Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with executional detail in a high-growth environment
- High sense of urgency and ownership
- Has range to operate at different levels of organization and granularity; hands-on action-taking in granular details (construction work) to high-level informing, supporting, and educating on commercial needs and dynamics (consultative work)
- Analytical and execution-oriented approach to responsibilities
- Customer orientation and sense of urgency, supporting sales success and target achievement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate in some level of ambiguity (“self-starter”) as a change-agent and lower barriers to delivering volume goals
- Proactive cross-functional engagement to build 360-degree plans
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
Under normal operations, this position operates in a home office environment for 80% of the time. This role has some travel requirements of up to 32% with the focus on this travel to be the attending of customer HQ meetings or customer calls depending on project workload.

The employee will be required to drive for extended periods of time. They will be moving product and must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours. On rare occasion, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Our compensation package includes a base pay range + bonus + equity
Pay Range
$130,000 - $150,000 USD
