As Director of Brand Marketing at Zevia, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a brand that’s redefining what it means to be both bold and better. Strategic Leadership & Brand Stewardship
- Collaborate closely with the CMO and VP to architect and lead integrated marketing strategies and campaigns—from insight-driven concept through high-impact execution—across all consumer and customer touchpoints.
- Inspire and guide cross-functional teams in delivering marketing initiatives that reinforce brand distinctiveness, ensuring strategic alignment and flawless execution across brand, digital, retail, design, social, and product channels.
- Own brand health measurement and lead the development of consumer insights, translating data into actionable strategies that inform marketing priorities and fuel brand growth.
Campaign, Creative, & Media Execution
- Brief internal teams and external partners to develop persuasive, on-brand creative assets and integrated campaigns that drive impact across channels.
- Ensure comprehensive consumer media strategy & execution to deliver our brand and media KPIs
- Oversee partnerships, collaborations, PR, and creative initiatives to amplify brand presence and engagement.
Retail & Trade Marketing
- Oversee all trade and shopper marketing initiatives to drive conversion at retail and support retailer priorities.
- Ensure alignment between trade marketing efforts and overall brand strategy.
Insights, Analytics & Optimization
- Translate complex plans and performance data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing campaign performance, identifying insights, and applying learnings to future initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Optimize operational workflows and processes to improve the marketing department’s clarity, communication, and efficiency.
- Manage the marketing budget, including annual planning, monthly/quarterly close, forecasting, and identifying shifts to optimize spend.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketers
- Foster a culture of accountability, boldness, creativity, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to influence and drive alignment across Sales, Finance, Operations, and other Marketing functions.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in classic brand management or marketing within a CPG environment, with strong consumer-driven marketing expertise.
- Proven success in brand building, campaign development, and launching new products with effective go-to-market strategies.
- Deep understanding of the consumer path to purchase, including shopper and trial barriers, and the fundamentals of effective, efficient communication strategies.
- Skilled in strategic media planning, performance tracking, and optimization.
- Strong grasp of retail and shopper marketing dynamics.
- Adept at distilling complex data and plans into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to extract key conclusions and implications from data.
- Highly productive and organized, with a talent for simplifying complexity and prioritizing effectively—for self and teams.
- Experienced in managing external agencies and leading cross-functional internal teams.
- Strong business acumen with fluency in budget management, analytics, and P&L ownership.
- Collaborative, agile, and effective in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, MBA preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibility.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Our compensation package includes a base pay range + bonus + equity
Pay Range
$160,000 - $165,000 USD
