Software Quality Analyst II

WHO YOU ARE:

Software Quality Engineer II (SQEs) contribute to client projects by developing and executing test scripts, and the ability to perform as the test lead for medium to large projects. SQEs complete automation testing of software applications to ensure a quality product is delivered to internal and external clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Develop test approaches and test plans to test application enhancements and changes against documented business requirements, in a manner which results in a high-quality solution meeting the functional and non-functional requirements of the end user.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts
• Work closely with designers, developers, and business SMEs to effectively assure delivery of a quality project
• Support continuous improvement of team quality management practices, such as defect management, integration testing, and testing automation
• Act as test lead for small and medium sized projects
• Test multiple applications with minimal supervision
• Coordinate test plans and test scripts with multiple testers
• Liaison with development, project management and customer support
• Create high level metrics and reporting for clients

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field preferred; or a high school education and equivalent work experience in business analysis and application development
• 5 to 7 years’ experience developing testing artifacts, such as test plans and test cases
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in automation testing and frameworks
• Experience with relevant testing tools (Visual Studio, SOAP UI, Selenium, JIRA, TFS) and languages (VB, XML, JAVA)
• Experience on CI/CD process and tools
• Strong customer and business focus
• Strong communications skills
• Intermediate troubleshooting skills
• Experience with user-centered design and usability testing
• Experience working with a software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology
• Experience operating within teams using the Agile SCRUM process
• Experience with test driven or behavior driven development practices
• Intermediate with creating simple SQL
• Experience with service call testing
• Experience with writing/testing XML
• Basic knowledge of PC, client/server, and network environments
• Advanced Microsoft PC software experience (i.e., Excel, Word, Preferred Access)
• Willingness to develop industry-related knowledge
