
Specialist - Post Issue - FTE

WHO YOU ARE:
The Specialist – Annuity Processing (Post-Issue) is responsible for managing post-issue annuity tracking and overall work a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role supports the ongoing service of annuity contracts after policy issuance and requires working knowledge of annuity products, strong attention to detail, and the ability to Ensure team meets SLA, Accuray targets.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Monitor processing of post-issue annuity transactions including policy changes, withdrawals, transfers, beneficiary updates, address changes, and ownership updates
• Review and validate post-issue requests and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure Team is performing calculations related to withdrawals, surrender charges, fees, and tax implications as applicable
• Research and resolve discrepancies, errors, or missing information through coordination with internal teams, carriers, and external partners
• Ensure team Updates and maintains accurate records in policy administration systems
• Meet established service-level agreements (SLAs), productivity targets, and quality standards
• Identify trends, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities
• Provide guidance or informal mentoring to Associate I team members as needed
• Participate in audits, quality reviews, and compliance checks
Map and optimize workflows; define SOPs, work instructions, and control checklists.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles, decision trees, and training decks.
• Lead UAT for platform changes (e.g., product launches, rate table updates, interface fixes) and sign off on readiness.
• Partner with Ops Excellence/Lean teams to deliver automation, RPA, and straight through processing improvements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
- 5+ years of total work experience (Life insurance domain) that required a focus on quality including attention to details, accuracy, and accountability for your work product.
- Experience in a professional/office related environment that required you to work regularly scheduled shifts.
- Experience using a computer with Windows PC applications that require you to use a keyboard, navigate screens, and learn new software tools.
- Effective English business communication skills required to exchange information with client.
- Proven ability to manage client requests and escalations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in life insurance, annuity administration, or financial services operations.
• Exposure to client service delivery or global delivery models.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Experience with operational reporting and data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
