Technical Training Specialist

WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical training, instructional design, and the ability to develop comprehensive training materials and programs. Excellent presentation, communication, and technical ,skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with clients and internal teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, develop, and update technical course materials on proprietary software.
• Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as simulations, exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
• Offer specific training programs to help users learn the software as well as maintain and improve job skills and proficiencies.
• Create detailed training plans and timelines allocated to each project and work with clients independently.
• Create training materials such as training discovery, training plans, user documentation, and agendas to facilitate sessions.
• Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
• Respond to client questions regarding presented topics.
• Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not achieved.
• Work with internal Sales and Marketing teams for demos of the software.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• 5+ years’ experience in training and development in a teaching/technical environment supporting external clients and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience can be substituted for a degree.
• High technical aptitude and working knowledge of and experience teaching various software programs.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering technical course materials and training programs.
• Experience with proprietary software training.
• Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to respond effectively to client questions and adapt training methods as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with customers at all levels including presentation and public speaking.

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is the norm
• Strong technology foundation with proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products.
