Director, Revenue Cycle

WHO YOU ARE:
Zinnia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to lead and optimize the revenue cycle function within our organization. This role will provide strategic direction and management of the billing and collections processes, ensuring revenue generation is maximized and operational efficiency is achieved. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of revenue cycle management in a fast-paced environment, possess strong leadership abilities, and have a proven track record of driving successful outcomes in SaaS-based companies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide overall strategic direction for the revenue cycle function. Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue cycle operations, optimize revenue collection, and improve cash flow.
  • Lead and manage billing and collections teams, ensuring effective performance and alignment with organizational goals. Foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving successful revenue cycle outcomes.
  • Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for billings and collections. Present performance data to leadership and support ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing the company's revenue cycle processes.
  • Implement strategies to maximize cash collections while minimizing overdue accounts. Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with financial targets and timely revenue collection.
  • Manage intercompany and related party billings and collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the organization.
  • Serve as a key business partner to customer-facing teams, providing ongoing support to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle processes with customer relationships.
  • Partner with the FP&A and treasury teams to provide accurate revenue and cash flow forecasts. Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within revenue cycle operations. Continuously assess and optimize workflows to achieve operational excellence.
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with US
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze reports related to revenue cycle performance, billings, collections, and other key financial metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to support business needs.
  • Drive system enhancements and identify opportunities to optimize processes. Leverage technology and tools such as NetSuite and OpenAir to improve revenue cycle operations.
  • Assist with internal ad-hoc requests and special projects, providing insights and expertise to support organizational initiatives.

 WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably within fast-paced software companies (SaaS).
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite and OpenAir systems.
  • Experience managing off-shore teams and driving global process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information to leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
