WHO YOU ARE:
A hands-on technical expert with over a decade of experience designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise systems—especially in the PeopleSoft FSCM ecosystem. You are a systems thinker who can architect scalable solutions that balance long-term platform stability with business agility. You combine deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft modules with modern engineering practices, cloud infrastructure know-how, and a strong understanding of APIs and data systems. You are passionate about mentorship, elevating engineering standards, and solving complex problems at scale. You enjoy collaborating across teams and pushing the envelope on modernization within core enterprise platforms.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design and architect complex PeopleSoft solutions for financial and operational business processes across GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Purchasing, and Asset Management.
- Own technical delivery of enhancements, upgrades, and strategic initiatives—leading design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Leverage PeopleTools (PeopleCode, App Engine, Integration Broker, etc.), SQR, BI Publisher, and SQL to build high-quality, performance-optimized solutions.
- Drive modernization of legacy systems by designing integrations with cloud-native services, RESTful APIs, and AWS-hosted components.
- Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to evaluate requirements and provide scalable, forward-looking solutions.
- Optimize system performance with deep knowledge of SQL tuning, app server/web server configurations, and efficient PeopleCode practices.
- Serve as a technical mentor for junior developers and collaborate with peers to elevate engineering maturity and standards.
- Lead and contribute to system upgrade efforts using PUM, Change Assistant, and automated testing strategies.
- Ensure security, compliance, and audit-readiness of enterprise solutions through best practices in configuration and documentation.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering and infrastructure teams to align PeopleSoft environments with AWS strategy (e.g., backups, monitoring, resilience).
- Participate in and influence architecture forums, engineering design reviews, and platform governance.
- Provide production support guidance and lead root cause analysis for complex incidents.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development, with at least 7 years in PeopleSoft FSCM modules and PeopleTools.
- Proven expertise in designing end-to-end enterprise solutions across finance operations, with strong functional-process understanding.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft tools including PeopleCode, App Engine, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher, and Application Designer.
- Strong database experience with Oracle or SQL Server, including advanced query tuning and data model design.
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts—especially AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)—and how to integrate PeopleSoft with cloud-native services.
- Experience with API design (REST/SOAP) and middleware/integration platforms.
- Exposure to infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and code reviews and to mentor team members.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with a quality-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
