Consultant II
About Zinnov
Zinnov is a global management consulting firm that helps organizations make decisions that actually get used — and deliver results that matter. For over two decades, we’ve partnered with leading enterprises, high-growth technology companies, and investors to answer some of the toughest questions they face:
-
Where should we invest?
-
How do we scale globally?
-
What capabilities will win in the next decade?
Our work shapes market entry strategies, global operating models, M&A decisions, and long-term growth bets. We’re known for being data-led, execution-focused, and outcome-driven — not opinion-heavy slideware.
At Zinnov, how you work matters as much as what you deliver. We value independent thinking, crisp communication, and early ownership. With 450+ professionals across 10 global offices, we work across industries including Digital Services, ER&D, Enterprise Software, Semiconductors, Healthcare, BFSI, Automotive, Media & Telecom, and Private Equity.
Zinnov isn’t for everyone. It’s for people who want steep learning curves, honest feedback, and the chance to see their work influence real business decisions — not just presentations.
Why Globalization Excellence (GE)
Zinnov’s Globalization Excellence (GE) practice helps enterprises build and scale Global Capability Centers (GCCs) end-to-end — from Design & Discovery to Build, Scale, and Run.
In GE, you don’t work in silos. You:
- Own complex, end-to-end client journeys
- Work across GCC advisory, managed services, and BOT / outsourcing models
- Influence leadership decisions that shape long-term talent and operating strategies
This is where strategy meets execution — and where talent plays a defining role.
About the Role
As Consultant II, you will play a core delivery role on consulting engagements — working closely with Project Leads and Managers to deliver research-driven, analysis-rich outputs for clients across technology-led domains (TMT, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, Telecom, Semiconductors, and adjacent sectors).
This role is designed for a consultant who can take ownership of workstreams end-to-end — building strong fact bases through primary and secondary research, applying structured analysis, and translating insights into crisp, client-ready narratives. You will also contribute to practice development and business development through proposal support and reusable assets.
What You’ll Do
Research & Insight Development
- Conduct deep secondary research and support primary research to build credible, decision-useful fact bases.
- Apply analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights, patterns, and implications for client priorities.
- Track trends and competitive movements; synthesize market/consumer insights to strengthen recommendations.
Structured Problem Solving & Workstream Ownership
- Develop a holistic view of the engagement and connect research findings to the client’s core problem.
- Own small consulting engagements independently, or lead modules/workstreams within larger engagements.
- Build clear, data-backed recommendations and articulate trade-offs with structured reasoning.
Client-ready Storytelling & Deliverables
- Create high-quality presentations and reports that are crisp, structured, and executive-ready.
- Communicate key facts, trends, and implications through systematic reports, scheduled presentations, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Maintain high standards for written and visual output quality — clarity, precision, and polish.
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
- Provide direction to external agencies and internal resources supporting research programs and analysis.
- Coordinate inputs, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery with strong follow-through.
Business Development & Practice Development
- Support business development by preparing project/work proposals and pitch modules.
- Contribute to practice assets — frameworks, reusable research modules, and knowledge collateral.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure superior deliverables and consistent quality.
What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) from a top-tier university; MBA/PGDM preferred.
- Experience in consulting, strategy, research, or analysis-heavy roles is preferred (years not specified in the source JD).
Key Skills
- Excellent business writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and numerical skills.
- Ability to develop and articulate strategic recommendations grounded in rigorous data analysis.
- High proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Extremely detail-oriented with high standards for written and visual presentation quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in timeline-driven, high-pressure environments.
- Self-driven, high energy, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-growing setup.
What Success Looks Like
- Workstreams delivered end-to-end with strong ownership, predictable execution, and minimal rework.
- Insights that are data-backed, structured, and clearly tied to client decisions and recommendations.
- Client-ready deliverables that are crisp, polished, and consistently high quality.
- Strong trust with Project Leads and Managers through responsiveness, rigor, and output reliability.
- Visible contribution to proposal work and reusable practice assets that improve speed and quality at scale.
If you enjoy owning analysis-heavy workstreams, turning research into sharp strategic insights, and producing consulting-grade narratives that influence real client decisions — this role offers a steep learning curve and meaningful growth.
