Project Lead II

Koramangala, Bangalore, Karnataka, India

About Zinnov

Zinnov is a global management consulting firm that helps organizations make decisions that actually get used — and deliver results that matter. For over two decades, we’ve partnered with leading enterprises, high-growth technology companies, and investors to answer some of the toughest questions they face:

  • Where should we invest?

  • How do we scale globally?

  • What capabilities will win in the next decade?

Our work shapes market entry strategies, global operating models, M&A decisions, and long-term growth bets. We’re known for being data-led, execution-focused, and outcome-driven — not opinion-heavy slideware.

At Zinnov, how you work matters as much as what you deliver. We value independent thinking, crisp communication, and early ownership. With 450+ professionals across 10 global offices, we work across industries including Digital Services, ER&D, Enterprise Software, Semiconductors, Healthcare, BFSI, Automotive, Media & Telecom, and Private Equity.

Zinnov isn’t for everyone. It’s for people who want steep learning curves, honest feedback, and the chance to see their work influence real business decisions — not just presentations.

Why Globalization Excellence (GE)

Zinnov’s Globalization Excellence (GE) practice helps enterprises build and scale Global Capability Centers (GCCs) end-to-end — from Design & Discovery to Build, Scale, and Run.

In GE, you don’t work in silos. You:

  • Own complex, end-to-end client journeys
  • Work across GCC advisory, managed services, and BOT / outsourcing models
  • Influence leadership decisions that shape long-term talent and operating strategies

This is where strategy meets execution — and where talent plays a defining role.

About the Role

As Project Lead II, you will own consulting engagements end-to-end and lead high-stakes workstreams across technology-led domains (TMT, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, Telecom, Semiconductors, Healthcare, and adjacent sectors). This role is designed for a hands-on consulting leader who can translate ambiguous client asks into structured problem statements, lead teams through deep research and analysis, and deliver crisp, decision-ready recommendations.

You will work closely with Engagement Managers and senior leadership on project delivery and practice development, while also contributing to business development through solutioning, proposals, and client pitches.

What You’ll Do

End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Own engagement delivery from first contact to final output — scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and risk management.
  • Lead multiple projects in parallel; manage dependencies, risks, and execution trade-offs to ensure predictable delivery.
  • Drive “customer delight” through clear alignment, strong outputs, and high-quality client experience.

Research & Insight Leadership

  • Guide teams on primary and secondary research approaches; ensure strong fact bases and data validation.
  • Review analysis to extract trends, patterns, and insights (qualitative and quantitative) that strengthen recommendations.
  • Validate strategic recommendations and ensure outputs are tight, defensible, and decision-useful.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Own client communication and expectation management — requirements clarity, cadence, updates, and delivery alignment.
  • Engage effectively across CXO and senior stakeholders while also working seamlessly with working teams.
  • Manage research partner / external vendor relationships where applicable.

Business Development & Solutioning

  • Contribute to business development by participating in client calls and pitching solutions.
  • Design engagement structures — resourcing plans, effort estimates, travel assumptions, and proposal/pricing inputs.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts when needed and shape proposal narratives and sales collateral.

Practice & Organizational Development

  • Partner with senior leaders to drive practice priorities — vision, capabilities, and repeatable methodologies.
  • Build reusable assets: frameworks, knowledge nuggets, thought pieces, whitepapers, capability decks, and website-ready content.
  • Support practice team building through hiring inputs, onboarding, and capability development.

People Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead and motivate teams; coach on research depth, analytical rigor, and consulting-grade communication.
  • Set execution standards and review discipline to ensure consistently high-quality outputs.
  • Drive skill building through structured feedback and practice-specific training initiatives.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) from a top-tier university.
  • MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in consulting / research / strategy / analysis-heavy roles with end-to-end project delivery exposure.
  • Comfort working across technology-led industries and multi-stakeholder environments.

Key Skills

  • Excellent business writing, verbal communication, and presentation/storytelling skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and numerical capability with a rigorous, structured problem-solving approach.
  • Strong execution and delivery ownership — hands-on, detail-oriented, and timeline-driven.
  • Strong stakeholder management across CXO and working teams.
  • Process orientation with comfort using and customizing technology/tools for delivery.
  • High ownership, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment.
  • International experience is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • Engagements delivered end-to-end with strong quality, predictability, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Teams coached to produce sharper research, stronger insights, and consistently client-ready narratives.
  • Strong client trust built through clarity, cadence, and reliable delivery under tight timelines.
  • Visible BD contribution through solutioning, proposals, and repeatable sales assets.
  • Practice impact through reusable frameworks, thought leadership, and capability building.

If you enjoy owning consulting engagements end-to-end, leading teams to deliver analysis-rich and client-ready outcomes, and shaping solutions that influence senior stakeholders — this role offers both impact and growth.
