As a Senior Product Designer in our Merchants team, you’ll be working with our Checkouts and Merchant Growth squads to uplift our merchant experiences by creating new self service features and offering new ways to pay. You will contribute to the transformation of our merchant experience by challenging the status quo and backing up your design solutions with data.

You'll work closely with rapidly growing cross-functional teams including PMs, Engineers and our Commercial team to ship and deliver quality products for our Zip merchants and customers, so B2B or B2B2C experience is crucial for this role. 

You will mainly be working across web/web app and expected to utilise your full range of service design, product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the design across key parts of our merchant journey.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days minimum in our Sydney CBD office.

  • 5+ years working in interaction, product and UX design
  • Have a portfolio of interaction, UX and visual design work that demonstrates:
    1. Ability to solve enterprise/B2B2C problems
    2. Drive strong business outcomes
    3. A passion for design thinking methods and a deep understanding of design practices
  • Experience designing for web / web app
  • B2B or B2B2C experience
  • Proven track record working effectively in cross-functional product teams - Influencing outcomes, collaborating, communicating and driving end-to-end aspects of design lifecycle.
  • Excellent communications skills. You are accomplished at conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience running lightweight, lean design experiments
  • Experience working with and contributing to large-scale design systems 
  • Experience designing for diverse groups of people, including those with accessibility needs
  • Ability to prioritise competing priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to turn insights into thoughtful narratives
  • A curiosity for uncovering the true “why” of a problem
  • One eye on the future and one foot in the present

  • Experience running user-interviews and synthesising results into actionable insights
