United States
  • Strategic operator with a track record of navigating ambiguity, connecting cross-functional efforts, and turning complex challenges into actionable strategies that drive measurable results

Start your adventure with Zip

We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented Strategy Manager to help define, shape and drive Zip US’s most important business priorities. As part of the Strategy & Operations team, you’ll work closely with leadership to define strategic direction, translate company goals to action, and ensure alignment across cross-functional initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution: comfortable zooming out to frame complex business problems and zooming in to get to the “how” behind the “what”. You’ll act as a key thought partner to senior leaders, help drive key strategic planning processes, and lead a Strategy Analyst to produce insights and recommendations that drive performance. If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, connecting the dots across teams, driving meaningful business outcomes, and being part of a lean but nimble organization, this role is for you

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead core components of Zip’s annual planning process (“Plan on a Page”) and in-year alignment cycles translating top-line goals into actionable, measurable initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to identify and align on strategic priorities, focus areas, and success metrics
  • Build strategic frameworks that bridge long-term vision with near-term execution
  • Develop clear, compelling deliverables and narratives that shape executive decision-making and org-wide communication

Business & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth market, competitor, and ecosystem analyses to guide strategic and product direction
  • Own the creation of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc intelligence reports, highlighting market shifts, customer behavior trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Identify emerging risks and whitespace opportunities in the BNPL and broader payments landscape
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance market scanning, competitor benchmarking, and scenario planning, bringing speed, precision, and depth to intelligence outputs

Cross-Functional Leadership & Problem Solving

  • Collaborate with leaders across Product, GTM, Risk, Ops, and Finance to define business problems and assess strategic opportunities
  • Drive prioritization and decision-making by delivering structured, data-informed recommendations
  • Lead and facilitate working sessions to align teams on initiatives, milestones, and execution plans
  • Directly support or lead delivery of critical cross-functional initiatives from idea through execution

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Create and deliver high-impact presentations for executive meetings, cross-functional forums, and external partners
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, concise, and actionable storytelling
  • Shape the content and structure of key business rhythms, including Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Serve as a central hub between Strategy & Ops and partner teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and follow-through

Team Leadership

  • Manage and coach the Strategy Analyst, developing their capabilities in structured thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture
  • Champion continuous improvement in how the team operates and drives impact across the business

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, or a similar role
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including managing direct reports or leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Market awareness and business acumen, particularly in fintech, payments, or consumer lending
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services, fintech, or related industries preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience building financial models and developing business cases to inform decisions
  • Proven ability to translate complex ideas into clear, executive-ready presentations and narratives
  • Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Slides
  • Applied experience using AI or AI-assisted tools (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, analytics platforms) to improve research, analysis, or planning workflows
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to align stakeholders and drive execution
  • High degree of comfort with ambiguity; able to bring structure and clarity to complex, evolving problems

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
