As a Senior Payment Operations & Scheme Compliance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our issuing programs operate seamlessly and in line with scheme expectations. You’ll own our Principal Member relationship, partner closely with Visa, and work across the business to strengthen oversight, governance and operational excellence across Zip’s card programs.

What you’ll own

  • End to end management of Zip’s scheme compliance and operational obligations across issuing programs
  • Primary relationship management with our card scheme partner, including leading external meetings, requests and reviews
  • Designing, executing and embedding robust product compliance and operational frameworks across payments
  • Oversight of scheme rules interpretation, implementation and remediation of any non compliance matters
  • Operational reporting for internal and external stakeholders including scheme partners and digital wallet providers
  • Approval and governance of issuing program technical setups at network and processor level
  • Ensuring marketing collateral, terms and distribution activities align with scheme and Zip policy requirements
  • Providing payments expertise and operational insight to product, payments rails and broader stakeholder groups

What you'll bring to the team

  • Extensive experience in payments with deep expertise in issuing operations and scheme management
  • Proven experience working as or with a principal scheme member across Visa or Mastercard environments
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and how issuing decisions impact customers and merchants
  • Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a clear why
  • A proactive, delivery focused leadership style with a bias for action and collaboration
  • Comfort operating in fast paced environments while creating space for others to contribute and improve outcomes
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
