As a Senior People Partner, reporting to the Director of People Partners, you will partner closely with leaders across Zip’s Corporate Functions. You will serve as a trusted advisor on complex organizational talent matters, helping leaders strengthen their organizations while navigating changing business priorities, operating models and ways of working. 

Zip is in an important period of transformation. You will help translate that transformation into practical workforce, organizational and talent strategies. This includes advising leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, talent strategy, succession planning capability development and change management. 

You will also play an important role in helping Corporate Functions adopt AI-enabled ways of working. You will be expected to bring your own curiosity about AI, use emerging tools thoughtfully in your work, and identify opportunities to improve the speed, quality and impact of People practices. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by transformation enjoys solving complex business challenges, and brings a balance of strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and practical problem solving. You'll partner with leaders who are scaling their organizations, evolving operating models, and accelerating innovation through AI and emerging technologies. 

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, sound judgment, executive presence, and the ability to influence through trusted partnerships and data-driven insights. You're comfortable operating autonomously, making thoughtful decisions in ambiguous situations, and building scalable people programs and processes that enable the business to grow. You combine creativity with disciplined execution, challenge the status quo, and develop practical solutions that improve organizational effectiveness while uplifting leaders and their teams.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

  • Independently advise leaders on complex organizational and talent matters, including workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, succession planning, capability leadership effectiveness and organizational health
  • Help leaders translate Zip’s priorities into clear organizational, workforce and talent plans
  • Partner with leaders to identify how AI across their organizations, advising on organizational design, workforce strategy, capability planning, operating models, and change management to maximize business impact.
  • Design, build, and continuously improve scalable people programs, frameworks, and processes that strengthen leadership capability, manager effectiveness, and employee experience, partnering with specialist teams where changes affect company-wide programs, frameworks, or policies. 
  • Apply critical thinking and structured problem-solving to complex organizational and people challenges, developing creative, practical solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders to navigate organizational growth, transformation, and change while helping teams remain engaged, resilient, and high performing.
  • Leverage people analytics, workforce data, and AI-enabled HR technologies to identify trends, model workforce scenarios, generate actionable insights, and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Independently navigate complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, balancing legal guidance, business priorities, and employee experience. Escalate matters involving material legal, reputational, executive or enterprise-wide implications to the Director of People Partnership and relevant People specialists. 
  • Influence leaders through executive-level communication, thoughtful coaching, and commercially minded recommendations that strengthen decision making and organizational health.
  • Stay current on emerging HR practices, AI capabilities, technology industry trends, and evolving employment legislation, translating insights into practical solutions that improve business outcomes.

About you

To help us level up, you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR Business Partner or People Partner experience, with recent experience supporting Corporate functions, Finance, Commercial, and Marketing organizations within high-growth technology companies. 
  • Demonstrated success partnering with hyper-growth organizations through periods of rapid growth, organizational transformation, innovation, and AI transformation.
  • Demonstrated interest and understanding of now AI enabled ways of working  can support organizations, with the ability to help leaders navigate organizational, workforce, and change management implications 
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously, balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution while independently driving priorities across your client groups.
  • Experience advising Director and VP-level leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, leadership effectiveness, and organizational health.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, paired with sound judgment, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence leaders through data-driven insights and executive-level communication.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of navigating ambiguity, driving creative solutions, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging people analytics, workforce data, and AI-enabled HR technologies to inform decisions and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.The annual base Pay Range for this position is $130,000 - $163,000. This range reflects our *Premium Location band (US2). Different bands may apply based on our tiered premium strategy if residence is outside of the Greater NYC Metro area. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or commission awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. 

If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
