We're looking for an entry-level to early-career GNC Engineer I/II focused on supporting the development of guidance, navigation, and control systems for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Engineers in this role will gain hands-on experience in software development, controls analysis, and simulation techniques. This position is an opportunity to contribute to the integration and testing of innovative UAS technologies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:

Assist in Flight Controls Development: Support the design and development of flight controls software for Group 1 to 4 UAS.

Software Development: Assist in creating and testing software components for deployment to flight tests.

Simulation Support: Run basic high-fidelity software-in-the-loop (SWIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations.

Model Building: Develop and modify basic models using Matlab/Simulink.

Test Support: Assist in designing and executing ground tests to verify the functionality of software features.

Integration Assistance: Support the integration and testing of UAS components for flight tests.

Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and successful project execution.

Documentation: Prepare technical reports and maintain documentation for software and testing activities.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 0-3 years of experience in controls engineering, software development, or related fields (internships or academic projects preferred).

Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink.

Basic understanding of control theory and flight dynamics.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay range for this role
$100,000 - $140,000 USD
