We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct inspections and tests of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation related to quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and supplier non-compliance reports.
- Work with internal departments to close non-conformance reports in a timely manner and create and track KPIs for the quality department.
- Work with the engineering team to establish appropriate inspection requirements and AQL for all parts.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality control processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in quality assurance tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
- Experience with unmanned aerial systems or related technologies.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).
Pay range for this role
$130,000 - $150,000 USD
