Who we're looking for

Zora is looking for experienced senior infrastructure engineers to work closely with the development team to ensure that the infrastructure meets the needs of the business and is scalable and highly available, including indexer service, API, data pipeline, disaster recovery, and other blockchain-related project support.

Examples of software at Zora

• An RPC proxy that intelligently routes blockchain traffic between in-house and vendor nodes, ensuring data consistency, improving our reliability
• A platform that reduces friction for engineers to deploy, monitor, and manage production code
• Our highly performant in-house Kubernetes cluster running on bare metal servers
• The Zora RPC service, surfacing blockchain data for our core indexing infra

What you’ll do

• Design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Zora’s infra platform.
• Contribute feedback to the technical and strategic direction of the infra platform.
• Automate critical aspects of the development process such as service creation and management, as well as critical infrastructure operations.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the team. 

Skills we’re looking for

• Language proficiency in either Go (preferred), Rust, or Python.
• Experience developing on top of Kubernetes or similar distributed systems.
• Experience utilizing systems in the continuous delivery domain such as Argo, Flux, or similar systems.
• Strong troubleshooting competency ranging from higher-level orchestration concerns to lower-level runtime ones.
• Experience designing large systems, scoping work, and building consensus with other engineers.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with service-oriented teams.

We’d love it if you had

• 5+ years of experience working in the infrastructure and/or deployment domain. Specifically with a focus on software engineering (as opposed to systems operations)
• Experience operating Ceph or similar distributed storage systems.
• Experience with lower-level Kubernetes integrations such as CSI drivers, node probes, and kernel-level observability.
• Understanding of blockchain infrastructure, such as Ethereum and other EVM-based chains, including architecture of L2 chains such as Polygon, Optimism, Base, etc.
• Understanding of L2 scaling solutions, such as optimistic rollup, zk rollup, plasma, side chains and bridges
• Strong desire to learn and explore new technologies
