The Zero Trust Exchange team seeks a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to oversee Identity and Access control infrastructure while leading a dynamic team advancing Zero Trust technology and flagship cloud security products. Manage development, quality, and collaborate globally with architects, product managers, developers, and engineers for successful production delivery.

This role will be reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering and you'll be responsible for:

  • Promoting the product vision internally and externally as the representative of the company, product, and team at all levels
  • Collaborating with product management to develop roadmaps, identify gaps, and implement changes for improved outcomes
  • Designing solutions and implement with cloud reliability / availability / scalability / security in mind
  • Working with teams and experts to ensure project requirements are met and delivered efficiently
  • Contributing to budget planning by assessing resource needs, hardware requirements, metrics, and costs for cloud services

    What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 13+ years of experience in development, enterprise services, networking, and security across large organizations and startups
    • Experienced in building control plane systems on globally distributed databases and skilled in authentication and authorization mechanisms like SAML, OAUTH, LDAP, and SCIM
    • Skilled in integrating software systems using distributed message queues like RabbitMQ/Kafka and distributed caches like Redis/Memcached
    • Proficient in distributed systems and data replication protocols like Paxos variants, with expertise in databases like DynamoDB, Cassandra, and Google Spanner
    • Experienced with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP, with skills in bootstrapping cloud entities and building service mesh

    What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

    • Skilled in using Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications and managing microservices architecture
