We’re looking for a Benefits Operations Specialist to join our growing People Services team. Reporting to the Manager, People Services you'll be based in a hybrid role in our Costa Rica office and will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with stakeholders for annual benefits enrollment, administer benefit enrollment throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding, life events, departures), and respond to employee questions and requests while resolving issues.
- Ensure SLA adherence for vendor invoices, process payroll reports accurately and on time, and update benefits related to salary changes.
- Manage insurance claims for sick leave and administer non-insured benefit programs, such as leave of absence and tuition reimbursement.
- Drive quarterly headcount audits with benefit providers and track metrics dashboards to monitor utilization of programs.
- Work closely with internal teams (Payroll, Finance, Legal) to improve processes, resolve benefit-related issues, and enhance the employee experience of benefit programs.
What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- 4+ years of HR benefits program operations experience, preferably within a fast-growing technology organization (SaaS experience or global public company exposure is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits software and advanced proficiency in MS Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong listening abilities to effectively understand and address employee and stakeholder needs.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions independently, manage confidential information with integrity, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP or Agile methodologies) or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, CEBS)
- Experience with HR systems, benefits platforms, and workflow management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams
