We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to our Zero Trust Exchange team. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
- Taking ownership of the design and implementation of robust, scalable testing frameworks for desktop applications on Windows or Mac
- Leading the creation of end-to-end test strategies to validate platform-specific features, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and browser extensions
- Developing methods for stress testing, performance testing, and reliability testing for long-running backend agents
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test roles, with 3+ years focused on desktop application testing for Windows OR Mac platforms
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, or custom frameworks designed for desktop applications
- Strong programming skills in Python/Java/Javascript, with the ability to write reusable test suites targeting OS-specific functionality
- Deep understanding of OS-level tools and debugging techniques (e.g., Sysinternals, Console.app, Process Monitor) to test and analyze system-level behavior
- Demonstrated ability to lead test planning, automation, execution, and reporting for large-scale enterprise applications
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proven experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines with efficient test integration
- Knowledge of browser extension testing and integration using frameworks like Puppeteer, Playwright, or TestCafe
- Familiarity with tools for performance profiling, stress testing, and fault isolation specifically for desktop applications
