We are looking for an experienced senior software development engineer to join and lead our Cloud Browser Isolation Product Team. Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations with internal or external products and service to enhance Zscaler offering beyond what a single solution
  • Implement APIs and microservices in Go (Golang) for scalable data exchange and real-time session handling
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure cloud services align with the company standards
  • Develop and maintain solutions for traffic management, monitoring, and logging, ensuring high reliability and efficient debugging
  • Be part of on-call rotations, promptly investigating and resolving issues in production environments while continuously improving system reliability

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years focused on developing backend cloud systems using Go (Golang)
  • Proficiency in building APIs using HTTP, gRPC, or REST and managing secure endpoint communication
  • Experience with containerized application development (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Proven track record of building backend systems with high performance and reliability expectations
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP, DNS, and SSL/TLS encryption

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Familiarity or willingness to contribute to NodeJS backend development
  • Exposure to DevOps automation workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar services
